How many times can a 65-year-old jump rope in 65 seconds? Make your educated guess based on what you believe about aging. Now watch this 2-minute video to see how close you came and to see if this man proves that falling apart as we age is really merely an option.
The challenge is to see how many jumps you can make in the number of seconds you are old. A 40-year-old, for example, would jump for 40 seconds with the following levels of achievement:
Gold Level = 120 jumps or more (3 or more jumps per second/year)
Silver Level = 80 to 119 (2+ jumps per second/year)
Bronze Level = 40 to 79 (1+ jumps per second/year)
Always check with your health-care professional before trying a fitness challenge or training for a fitness challenge to see what a safe level of activity is for you.
